Checking In With Double A
Saw that the Ottawa Sun's preview of tonite's tilt is filed under "Senators 05-06." At least Habs fans live in a past where they actually won Cups. Brennan also points out that Shane Hnidy is back in a hockey hotbed after the "relative obscurity" of Anaheim. That's the same Anaheim flying a Cup banner after last season's throttling of Ottawa, right? Oh I forgot, it's 2006. The Ottawa segment of our upcoming series touring the media markets of Canada's other NHL cities is gonna write itself.

Good work.
Shouldn't fans of a laughingstock have a little more modesty when insulting other, better teams? Do you think this is maybe part of the reason why nobody has Red Sox-like sympathy for Leafs fans?
(Not a Sens fan, FYI... or a troll. I swear.)
It's more a shot at Brennan, but making fun of the Sens is all we have left. Until they win a Cup or beat the Leafs in the playoffs, I think bragging rights still reside with the blue and white.
And nothing's gonna make people feel sorry for Leafs fans. It goes way deeper than hockey.
It's good to see a Jays fan's perspective on things around here. Who knew that Howard Berger was a good writer or that we should be respectful of our rivals. I mean, imagine if we had the audacity to name an opposing player Shitske...when he's even won a World Series ring!
If only the Leafs had the benefit of being ignored by the rest of the league.
