Between our efforts, and those of our fellow Barilkospherites, it appears that Working Class Howard has finally realized that it is unfair and untrue to continue painting all Leafs fans as blue-faced extras from Day of the Dead parading down Bay Street mindlessly driven by our once-human urge to support a team that hasn't won a single meaningful game in more than forty years. That bit made me chuckle. Lets see, of the people who cover the Leafs I would say that Cox, Hunter, Simmons, Zeisberger, Waters, Kypreos, McCown, Shoalts, Brunt, McGown, and the TSN panel rate somehwere between actively hostile and somewhat objective when it comes to the Leafs and MLSEL.
Who is left? I think those names there comprise at least 90% of the regulars on the Leaf beat. Who are these Kool-Aid drinkers? Cox quoted some unnamed civil servants on HNIC who went a bit over the top regarding the Leafs on Saturday night. Do they constitute this 90%?

It's nice to see that someone in the Toronto sports media is finally trying to get fans to recognize that there is a huge separation from what you believe to be true from what is actually true. Fuck, do I have to study philosophy now to make sense of 'Morpheus Berger's' now cryptic posts? What exactly is 'the real' now anyway? Does this have anything to do with 1967?
